1. Introduction
Cadence ApS (“Cadence,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal data when you use our website at cadence.io, our web application at app.cadence.io, and any associated tools (together, the “Platform”).
Please read this policy carefully. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
This policy covers personal data that Cadence processes as a data controller — meaning data we collect and use for our own purposes, such as running our business, managing customer accounts, and operating our website. It does not govern data that our customers upload about their own clients and contacts; customers are the data controllers for that data and are responsible for their own compliance obligations.
2. Who We Are
Cadence is an AI-powered content operations platform built for agencies and in-house marketing teams. The Platform connects business strategy to content execution to performance — combining content planning, creation, approval workflows, publishing, and performance intelligence in a single system.
We are incorporated in Denmark as an ApS (Anpartsselskab) and process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Danish data protection legislation.

3. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data.
3.1 Account and Registration Data
- Name and email address
- Password (stored in hashed form)
- Company name, job title, and agency size
- Profile preferences and settings
- Client selector preferences (which client accounts you manage)
3.2 Billing and Payment Data
- Billing name and address
- Payment method details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers)
- Subscription history and invoices
3.3 Usage and Technical Data
- IP address and approximate location (country/city level)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Platform
- Log data and error reports
- Session and authentication data
3.4 Communications Data
- Messages sent to our support team
- Responses to surveys or feedback requests
- Emails and other communications with Cadence staff
3.5 Integration Data
When you connect third-party services to the Platform (such as Google Search Console, WordPress, or social media platforms), we access only the data necessary to provide the integration. See Sections 6 and 8 for details.
3.6 Content and Client Data (Platform Data)
When you use the Platform in your content operations work, you may upload or create:
- Client business profiles, ICPs (Ideal Customer Profiles), and strategic goals
- Content briefs, drafts, and published content
- Content plans, calendars, and editorial schedules
- SEO keyword data, cluster analysis, and performance metrics
- Approval workflow data, review comments, and status tracking
- Documents, images, and attachments
You are the data controller for this data. We process it only on your behalf, to provide the Platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect and process this data, and for complying with applicable data protection and other relevant laws.
3.7 Voice Intelligence Data
When you use the Voice Intelligence feature, you may upload or provide:
- Writing samples and reference content per channel and per client
- Transcripts and recordings used to train Voice DNA profiles
- Voice style preferences and tone configurations
This data is used solely to generate and maintain per-client, per-channel voice profiles within the Platform.
3.8 Performance and Analytics Data
When you connect analytics integrations (such as Google Analytics or Google Search Console), the Platform accesses performance data related to your published content. This data is used to surface insights within the Platform and is processed in accordance with the terms of those third-party services.
4. How We Use Your Personal Data
We use personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases.

5. Voice Intelligence Data
5.1 What Voice Intelligence Does
The Voice Intelligence feature creates per-client, per-channel voice profiles (“Voice DNA”) based on writing samples, transcripts, and reference content you provide.
5.2 How We Use It
Voice Intelligence data is used exclusively to generate and maintain voice profiles within the Platform and to inform AI content generation for your account. We do not use this data for advertising or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
5.3 Your Control
You can delete individual voice profiles, remove uploaded reference materials, or disable Voice Intelligence features at any time from your account settings.
6. SEO Intelligence Data
SEO data is processed to generate cluster opportunities, keyword recommendations, and performance insights within the Platform. We do not use your SEO data for advertising or share it with third parties for commercial purposes. You can disconnect analytics integrations and delete SEO intelligence data at any time.
7. AI Features
7.1 Your Data and AI Training
We do not use your data — including client content, voice profiles, SEO data, or any other content you upload — to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models, whether our own or those of any third-party provider.
7.2 Third-Party AI Providers
Some AI features are powered by third-party AI providers whose models we access via their standard APIs (such as OpenAI). These providers operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies.
7.3 AI-Generated Output
AI-generated content is probabilistic and may not always be accurate. You should review all AI Output before relying on it or sharing it externally.
8. Third-Party Integrations
The Platform supports integrations with services such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, WordPress, social media platforms, and others. We access only the data necessary to provide the functionality of that integration. You can disconnect any integration at any time.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
- Essential cookies — Required for the Platform to function
- Performance cookies — Analytics to understand how the Platform is used
- Marketing cookies — Where applicable, to measure marketing effectiveness
You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie banner or your browser settings.
10. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with service providers, when required by law, in connection with business transfers, or with your consent.

12. Data Security
The Platform is hosted within the European Economic Area. All data at rest is encrypted using AES-256, and all data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Passwords are bcrypt-hashed and salted. We enforce strict data isolation at the database level.

14. International Data Transfers
Our primary data hosting is within the EEA. Where service providers process data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.
15. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification before the changes take effect.
